CHILDCARE

Cedar Valley Montessori School has a licensed childcare facility, which operates Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Childcare is available to any child who is enrolled at CVMS (on their program days), and employs a structure and philosophy much like that found in the regular Montessori classroom.

Parents are billed at the end of the month for childcare. The staff prefers parents give a one-day notice that their child will be staying in the childcare and a time of pick-up, but will always try to accommodate last-minute changes in schedules. There is an annual childcare user fee of $20.

The Department of Human Services requires that all children remaining in the childcare in the afternoon have a rest/nap time. CVMS provides cots for these children. The families will need to bring a sheet, blanket, pillow and a comfort object for each child.
